Continuing Education Credits (CEC) Information

Up to 33.75 CECs are available* for Live lectures, Workshops, Roundtables, and On- Demand (recorded) sessions in the following categories:

  • Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES/MCHES)
  • California Nurses (CNE)
  • Outside of California (CNE)
  • Certified in Public Health (CPH)
  • Librarians (MLA)

Up to 14.25 CMEs are available for (Live sessions only)- Live Lectures, Workshops, Roundtables, and Plenaries in the following category:

  • Physicians. These CMEs are only available for sessions viewed live during the conference from May 14 to May 16, 2024.

Up to 13 CEs are available for (Live sessions only)- Live Lectures, Workshops, and Plenaries in the following category (excludes Roundtables):

  • Social Workers. These CEs are only available for sessions viewed live during the conference from May 14 to May 16, 2024.

*Please note, the amount of credits you receive depends on the sessions you view and the type of credit you are seeking. If you are seeking credits for another accrediting organization, you can request a Certificate of Attendance and you may submit this certificate to your own credentialing board to see if you can obtain transferable CECs from your board.

Credit may be requested for attending a session live OR viewing the OnDemand recording, but not both.


To Receive Continuing Education Credits

On the agenda, you'll find the available credits for each session, both live and on-demand. Make sure to check beforehand, as some credits are exclusively available for live sessions.

To earn credit/contact hours and obtain a CE certificate, participants must:

  1. Watch the entire session.
  2. Complete Surveys.
  3. Complete the Overall Conference Evaluation after the conference ends.
  4. Complete the CE Request Form.

On the agenda, Sessions will have a "survey" button for session evaluations. Complete surveys for all attended sessions. After the conference concludes, fill out the Overall Conference Evaluation, which will be available on the Evaluations tab in the top toolbar of the conference platform.

To receive continuing education credits, complete the CE credit request form provided at the end of the Overall Conference Evaluation. IHA will issue your CE certificate within two weeks of receiving your evaluation.

Deadlines:
For sessions attended during the LIVE event: Credit must be requested by May 31, 2024.

For viewing recorded sessions post-event: Credit must be requested by May 16, 2025.

Please note that Physician CMEs and Social Worker CEs are only available for Live Sessions.

Additionally, each attendee is limited to two submissions: one for the live event, and another for watching sessions post-event. Once this limit is reached, the form will no longer accept submissions.
